PUC Services Inc. – Potential Canada Post Service Disruption – Impact on PUC Billing and Payments

Sault Ste. Marie, ON (May 20, 2025) — Canada Post has received strike notices from the Canadian Union of Postal Workers, indicating that a strike or lockout could commence as early as May 23, 2025. If this occurs, mail delivery may be delayed or halted nationwide, including the delivery of your PUC bill and any payments you send by mail.

How This May Affect You:
We understand that many customers have relied on paper bills for years and may not be as familiar with online options. However, during a postal disruption, it's important to stay up to date with your account to avoid the risk of late fees.

Avoid Disruptions with E-Billing:
To ensure you receive your bills promptly, we recommend signing up for e-billing. There are two easy ways to enroll:

  1. MyPUC App: Download the app and link your bill to it. Once linked, you will automatically be enrolled in e-billing.
  2. Customer Connect Portal: Enroll directly through the portal by visiting our website.

Additional Payment Options:

Cheque Payments:
If you prefer to pay by cheque, you can use our drop-off box located at 500 Second Line East (cheque payments only). We advise against mailing payments during a postal disruption to avoid delays, late fees, or potential collection activities.

Plan Ahead:
PUC encourages all customers to use available digital and alternative payment methods instead of traditional mail during service disruptions.
