Sault Ste. Marie, ON (May 20, 2025) Canada Post has received strike notices from the Canadian Union of Postal Workers, indicating that a strike or lockout could commence as early as May 23, 2025. If this occurs, mail delivery may be delayed or halted nationwide, including the delivery of your PUC bill and any payments you send by mail.

Sault Ste. Marie, ON (May 14, 2025) — PUC Services Inc. wishes to inform residents and motorists of upcoming road closures in the west end of the city to accommodate watermain repairs.

Sault Ste. Marie, ON (May 2nd, 2025) – PUC Services Inc. would like to advise customers in the Central Area of the City that crews will be in the area to conduct hydrant flow tests over the next few weeks. These flow tests determine the flow rate and water pressure at specific locations within PUC’s water distribution system. These tests are required under the Fire Code to determine how much water would be obtainable during a fire emergency.

SAULT STE. MARIE, ON – April 4, 2025 — After assisting communities in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula earlier this week, PUC crews are now shifting their focus to support ongoing storm recovery efforts in Southern Ontario. Our assistance has been formally requested, and we are pleased to contribute as part of the broader mutual aid response.

Sault Ste. Marie, April 1st, 2025 – PUC Services Inc. is proud to collaborate with the Twinkie Foundation to help alleviate the financial burden on local families facing medical travel  expenses. During the whole month of April, PUC will donate $20 for each customer who registers for e-billing, directly supporting the Twinkie Foundation’s mission to assist families needing to travel to southern Ontario for medical care.

These programs supported by the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) will help residents and businesses lower their electricity bills and make smarter energy choices while contributing to a cleaner, more reliable grid.
