Sault Ste. Marie, ON (May 2nd, 2025) – PUC Services Inc. would like to advise customers in the Central Area of the City that crews will be in the area to conduct hydrant flow tests over the next few weeks. These flow tests determine the flow rate and water pressure at specific locations within PUC’s water distribution system. These tests are required under the Fire Code to determine how much water would be obtainable during a fire emergency.

SAULT STE. MARIE, ON – April 4, 2025 — After assisting communities in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula earlier this week, PUC crews are now shifting their focus to support ongoing storm recovery efforts in Southern Ontario. Our assistance has been formally requested, and we are pleased to contribute as part of the broader mutual aid response.

Sault Ste. Marie, April 1st, 2025 – PUC Services Inc. is proud to collaborate with the Twinkie Foundation to help alleviate the financial burden on local families facing medical travel  expenses. During the whole month of April, PUC will donate $20 for each customer who registers for e-billing, directly supporting the Twinkie Foundation’s mission to assist families needing to travel to southern Ontario for medical care.

PUC Services Inc. is proud to donate $12,000 to Christmas Cheer, thanks to the overwhelming success of our recent E-billing Campaign. Additionally, staff and customers dropped off nearly 300 toys during a week-long toy drive, helping to bring joy and holiday magic to families and children in need throughout Sault Ste. Marie.

Marie continues to experience heavy snowfall,  PUC Services Inc reminds residents to prioritize safety and exercise caution, particularly around downed powerlines.  Accumulating snow, ice and strong winds can  create hazardous conditions, including power outages and fallen lines.

PUC Services Inc. is proud to announce a campaign promoting local safety has been honoured with the prestigious 2024 Ontario Electrical Safety Award in the Worker Safety category from the Electrical Safety Authority (ESA). This award recognizes six local companies and their unwavering commitment to worker safety and leadership in promoting safe work practices within the Sault.

SAULT STE. MARIE, ON  (July 29, 2024)—On a perfect day for golf, 144 local golfers came together on Friday, July 26th, to make PUC Services Inc.’s inaugural charity golf tournament a resounding success. With the support of PUC employees, local sponsors, and community members, the event raised an impressive $15,924.25 for the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) of Algoma.

Held in honour of our beloved team member, Cecil Mah, the tournament featured 36 teams competing on the beautiful Crimson Ridge Golf Course. Participants enjoyed snack bars on the course, an array of fabulous raffle prizes donated by local sponsors, and a fantastic dinner to conclude the event.
